The CHEBOKSARY AMAZONS team was created in October 2017. Evgenia Fomina posted an ad on her VKontakte page about recruiting girls for the hockey team and received an unexpectedly large-scale response from athletes of different ages. The team started its journey thanks to the girls who reacted to the announcement and began actively inviting other future hockey players.
In the first year of our training, to a greater extent, the team was engaged in outdoor skating rinks in Chuvashia. Off Ice trainings were also held outdoors in winter and summer. Later, we began to train on an indoor ice rink, and off ice trainingin the gym. The Amazon team has twice organized summer training camps.

During the existence of the team, the compositions have changed dramatically. Some of the girls changed their city of residence, some moved to other teams, and some finished with hockey. In any case, the team is grateful to each of them and believes that each hockey player has become a contribution to what the Amazons have today.

"Our composition is very diverse. We appreciate every hockey player and thank for choosing our team. The competitive stage of the All-Russian level provides additional motivation and a boost of energy for even more persistent and well-coordinated work. Thanks to the opportunity to play in the LZHH, representatives of the Chuvash Republic got acquainted with hockey players and began to work together. We are very pleased that women's hockey in Russia and, in particular, in our republic is acquiring such a scale."
