The "Marusya" women's hockey team was formed in 2020 by Maria Evgenievna Ainullina, who brought together enthusiastic and hockey-loving girls. Now Maria holds the position of team leader and captain.

The "Marusya" team trains at the main ice rink of the city of Kazan, the Tatneft Arena stadium, which is the stadium of the AK BARS team.

Off-ice training is provided by Danis Zaripov at the hockey center.

The hockey players also spend a lot of time exercising independently outdoors. Ice training is carried out by an experienced coach, master of sports and two-time champion of Russia Vadim Vakivovich Shaidullin.

Thanks to their efforts, girls who have never skated before have already achieved significant success in the game. Recruitment for the team is open, there are no requirements for experience or skating skills - Vadim Vakivovich will teach everything, and the girls will support him.

The goalkeeper training position of the Marusya team was occupied by the founder of the hockey goalkeeping school "Tendy Skills", the coach of the youth sports school "Biek Tau 2011", Buldakov Kirill Vitalievich.

The team is made up of friendly girls between 17 and 52 years old who lead an active lifestyle outside the ice: they organize various activities, from simple meetings to cooking together some traditional Tatar dish such as "ochpochmak", which, by the way, is present in the team logo. .

"Marusya" already has developed traditions, and the girls tell about this on their page on the social network, through which you can sign up for trial training or watch a live broadcast from the locker room.

Hockey players prefer Russian-made "CHARGE" sticks and consider it their mission to popularize women's hockey, proving by their own example that hockey is beautiful and that what was a dream is now possible.
